Review: Wet n' Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana

Straight up! This is one of the most awesome highlighters i've tried in a long time. I think i have around 5-6 different highlighters in my collection, at least that's what i remember off the top of my head and this highlighter has quickly risen to the top of that list.

Better yet, you're only paying $5.99USD for 13.0gs of product! I have a feeling this will be around in my make up collection for a long time.
Reserve Your Cabana was created by Wet n' Wild as a bronzer but it is far too light for my skin, i don't even know whether or not it would pass as a bronzer for any skin tone. It's okay though because it works just as well as a highlighter. The formula is creamy and blends easily into the skin, leaving it with a pretty natural sheen. It has a beige-y (it's not a word) tone powder with a hint of sheen/fine shimmer. I hate highlighters that have a large amount of glitter/shimmer particles so using this was a dream.

Advantages:
+ Creamy formula
+ Leaves natural sheen on skin
+ It's cheap and you get a lot of product.

Disadvantages:
- You can't buy it in-store anywhere in Australia. On that note, thank goodness for online shopping. I brought mine from CrushCosmetics but i know you can get it cheaper from BeautyJoint. Both companies have their own advantages and disadvantages but i'll leave that for another blog post. Hehe!

Review: Face of Australia Pressed Powder

Okay review time. *puts on serious face* Today's' blog post will be about the Face of Australia (FOA) Pressed Powder. I brought this on a whim in Priceline around 2 months and boy, was i impressed! It's not as smooth as MAC's Studio Fix Powder which i love love love but it does the job. Skip all the way down pass ingredients for quick summary.

It cost me around $11.95 AUD and for the amount of product you get in compact (15.0g), i'm telling you right now, it will last you a lifetime.

I brought mine in the shade Tan because really there was only four shades which is a little depressing. It comes in Ivory, Bisque, Beige and Tan so there definitely isn't much of a large selection to select from. Being around an NC30-35, i thought Tan was the best bet and it was.

Applied carefully this FOA powder won't cake your face, will provide you with a flawless base and isn't too bad with oil control either. Ingredients as as below. Honourable mention for FOA as they don't test on animals! Yay!

So just to sum it all up for you, below are the things i think really stood out and is definitely something that plays a big part in why i would buy specific products.

Advantages:
+ Smooth application/good coverage
+ Cheap for Australian drugstore product
+ FOA doesn't test on animals

Disadvantages:
- Has parabens in ingredients
- Only sold in Australia
- Only has four shades to choose from

Review: MAC Lady Danger Lipstick

Product Rating
Product: 8
Price: 7 ($36 AUD)
Intensity: 9 (Matte bright orange red)

I think this has to be one of MAC's most famous lipsticks in the history of lipstick. Lady Danger is a matte orange red which i believe compliments everyone. See photo below. I could rave rave rave on and on about this lipstick but let's just put it this way, i'm not normally a red lipstick kind of girl. This is because a lot of the time, i'm too lazy to take care of it after application but this lipstick is worth the care. Get on it.

P.S: Excuuse the ugly lines on the lipstick. I was trying to clean it up with a tissue.

Review: Glasshouse Candles

I have been obsessed with candles recently. Literally obsessed. I haven't even finished one and i'm burning another one. I don't know how popular candle blog posts are but i don't think that this blog is very popular in the first place. It's okay though because candles are cool.

I brought myself the Glasshouse Fragrance candle in 'Rio De Janeiro' months ago for $40AUD from David Jones and didn't want to use it because i couldn't. It smells amazing. 'Rio De Janeiro' is made up of Passionfruit, Lime, Raspberry and Orange flavours. It's a fantastic fruity summer smell and reminds me of a cocktail. Glasshouse Fragrance's website says "the candles are handcrafted in Australia using pure wax and cotton wicks, which are non toxic, lead free and deliver up to 80 hours of burn time."

It's one of those candles that don't need to be burnt, to have the smell fill up your room. It's simply the best.

The end.

Recyle 1.0

I found this on my previous blog and thought it was on par with how i'm feeling today.

"sometimes we've just got to do, what we've got to do, to get where we want to go. cross the boundaries. break the rules. break hearts. break promises. so here i am apologizing in advance."
